Faces of Jackson County Class of 2020: Alexis Griggs

Meet Alexis Griggs! Alexis is a senior at Jefferson High School and plans to attend the Medical Institution of Northeast Georgia after graduation. We want to congratulate Alexis and her family on her upcoming graduation and best wishes in the future.

Question: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
Answer: “I live with my Mom, Dad, and 13 year old brother.”

Q: What are your plans after graduation?
A: “I’m going to Medical institution of Northeast Georgia to get my medical assistant degree.”

Q: What are two of your favorite restaurants in our community?
A: “Cream and Shuga, Los Vaqueros and Mexican Restaurant.”

Q: How long have you lived in our community?
A: “I have lived in Jefferson since 2016.”

Q: Who is the most interesting person you’ve met here in our community?
A: “Mr. Pittard.”

Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
A: “Italy, because I love Italian food and it’s a really pretty country.”

Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
A: “’Top Gun’ is my favorite movie and ‘Snapped’ is my favorite TV show.”

Q: What advice would you give to people?
A: “Stop hating yourself for everything you aren’t, and start loving yourself for everything you already are 🙂 ~ Zach Herrron.”

Q: What is your go to band / singer when you cant decide what to listen to?
A: “Why Don’t We.”

Q: What is something you will do as soon as this COVID-19 is over?
A: “Go shopping. “

Q:If you could choose anyone that is alive today and not a relative; with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would y’all meet for this lunch?
A: “Ted Bundy, so I can pick his brain to see how he turn into a serial killer and why he thought everyone liked him. We would meet at Los Vaqueros Mexican Restaurant.”

Q: (Even for friends or family), what is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?
A: “That I love history.”

Q: What is the most beautiful place you have ever been?
A: “St. Thomas.”

Q: Favorite month? favorite holiday? and best single day on the calendar?
A: “Favorite month is June, Favorite holiday Halloween, and best single day is Friday the 13th.”

Q: What would you rate a 10 out of 10?
A: “My Mom’s cooking.”

Q: Who inspires you to be better?
A: “My Great-Grandmother, Mary Wita.”

Q: What is one or two of your favorite smells?
A: “Anything that smells like coffee.”

Q: Finally, what 3 words or phrases come to mind when you think of the word HOME?
A: “Family, Memories and Friends.
