Jackson County, a “Place for Opportunity”, is known for its importance of family and business-friendly community. It has three outstanding public school systems, many historical landmarks, an impressive industrial community, and interesting recreational venues. This County also has access to an overly skilled workforce suitable for both skilled and technical jobs. Jackson County’s central location, about an hour from the Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport and downtown Atlanta, benefits the citizens due to cheap living and available supply of land. It also allows businesses to have direct access to national as well as international markets. Over the past few years, Jackson County has grown to have a population of about 67,500 citizens. The county’s exceptional location, remarkable public school system, and proximity to major employment centers will continue to lure new residents and drive consistent growth in the future.


The seat of Jackson County, known as Jefferson, has a population of 10,195 and is named after President Thomas Jefferson. This city has gradually transitioned from primarily agriculture, to a balanced mix of commercial and industrial businesses. Most people move to Jefferson for the economic opportunity and wholesome environment. The city offers a highly ranked school system and a broad range of extra curricular activities. Jefferson has a wonderful location in Northeast Georgia about an hour North of Atlanta along Interstate 85.


The town of Braselton, also located in Jackson County as well as Hall, Gwinnett, and Barrow County, is known to have rich heritage. The community of this county has grown to have a population of 10,947. Braselton is also home to the world class amenity, Chateau Elan Winery and Resort which attracts more than half a million visitors a year. The strategic location of this county provides excellent transportation access and wonderful recreational sites, such as the Mulberry RiverWalk.


The city of Commerce known as “A city on the right track”, has a growing population of 6,881. It has 4 different school systems; primary, elementary, middle, and high school. The location of Commerce is only 70 miles northeast of Atlanta making this city perfect due to easy access to big city amenities. It is also right near the foothills of the North Georgia Mountains. This city often provides essential services into the surrounding community as well. Their downtown is one of the oldest main street programs in the state. Another great thing about Commerce is that it is business friendly with only a 5% unemployment rate. This city is wonderful, having something to offer everyone in a family.
