Faces of Jackson County Class of 2020: Kate Tucker

Meet Kate Tucker! Kate is a senior at Jefferson High School and plans to attend the University of North Georgia in the fall. We want to congratulate Kate and her family on her upcoming graduation and best wishes in the future.

Question: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
Answer: “I live in a household of seven.”

Q: What are your plans after graduation?
A: “I plan to attend the University of North Georgia and transfer into the University of Georgia.”

Q: What are two of your favorite restaurants in our community?
A: “Cream and Shuga is one my of favorites. As well as Friends!”

Q: How long have you lived in our community?
A: “18 years.”

Q: Who is the most interesting person you’ve met here in our community?
A: “Brantley Gilbert.”

Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
A: “Greece or Turks and Caicos, I would love to travel and visit the sites.”

Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
A: “’A Star Is Born’ is my favorite movie. Some of my favorite TV Shows are ‘Criminal Minds’ and ‘Outer Banks.'”

Q: What advice would you give to people?
A: “To always look for the silver lining no matter how bad things get.”

Q: What is something on your bucket list?
A: “To travel the world.”

Q: What is your go to band / singer when you cant decide what to listen to?
A: “Aerosmith.”

Q: What is something you will do as soon as COVID-19 is over?
A: “Going out to dinner with friends.”

Q: If you could choose anyone that is alive today and not a relative; with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would y’all meet for this lunch?
A: “Whitney Houston, her music inspires me so much and I would love to talk to her about her views on the world before things got bad.”

Q: What is your favorite thing about our community?
A: “I love the painted Jefferson wall.”

Q: Where do you see yourself in five to 10 years?
A: “Graduated college and starting a family.”

Q: (Even for friends or family), what is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?
A: “I love to sing.”

Q: What is the most beautiful place you have ever been?
A: “Tallulah Falls.”

Q: Favorite month? favorite holiday? and best single day on the calendar?
A: “September, New Years and Saturday.”

Q: What would you rate a 10 out of 10?
A: “The service at Chick-fil-A, ha-ha.”

Q: Who inspires you to be better?
A: “My youth leader, Alice Lipscomb.”

Q: What is one or two of your favorite smells?
A: “Fresh Cut Grass and the smell after it rains.”

Q: Finally, what three words or phrases come to mind when you think of the word HOME?
A: “My bed, a shower and my oil diffuser.”
