Meet Gage Swilling! Gage is a senior at Jefferson High School and plans to play college football and major in business after graduation. We want to congratulate Gage and his family on his upcoming graduation and best wishes in the future.
Question: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
A: “My Dad is a manager at a large distribution center. My mom is a kindergarten para and I have a younger brother in the 8th grade.”
Q: What are your plans after graduation?
A: “To play college football and get a degree in Business.”
Q: What are two of your favorite restaurants in our community?
A: “The Snack Shack. Beef O Brady’s.”
Q: How long have you lived in our community?
A: “A little over four years.”
Q: Who is the most interesting person you’ve met here in our community?
A: “Tic. The biggest Jefferson fan I know.”
Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
A: “Antarctica to see the wildlife there.”
Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
A: “Movie: Facing the Giants. TV show: ‘Scooby-Doo.’”
Q: What advice would you give to people?
A: “Always show respect.”
Q: What is something on your bucket list?
A: “Race a dragster.”
Q: What is your go to band / singer when you cant decide what to listen to?
A: “Zac Brown Band.”
Q: What is something you will do as soon as this COVID 19 thing is over with?
A: “Have a dinner/meal with friends.”
Q:If you could choose anyone that is alive today and not a relative; with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would y’all meet for this lunch?
A: “Bill Dance to talk about his best fishing stories. Beef ‘O’ Brady’s.”
Q: What is your favorite thing about our community?
A: “The small town feeling. Everybody knows each other or is related.”
Q: Where do you see yourself in five to 10 years?
A: “Owning a business and making new friends.”
Q: (Even for friends or family), what is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?
A: “I’m a big extrovert. I love talking to people.”
Q: What is the most beautiful place you have ever been?
A: “Helen, Georgia.”
Q: Favorite month? favorite holiday? and best single day on the calendar?
A: “ My favorite month is June because of my birthday. Christmas is my favorite holiday. September 2nd is the best single day in the calendar because it’s my mom’s birthday and my parents’ anniversary.”

A: “Close friendships.”
Q: Who inspires you to be better?
A: “Matt Stephenson, my Lineman Coach who never quit on me and has taught me how to be a good man.”
Q: What is one or two of your favorite smells?
A: “Wood burning and food being grilled.”

A: “Football, Family, and Fishing.”
