Meet Sadie Wilson! Sadie is a senior at Jefferson High School and after graduation plans to attend University of North Georgia and study Business Management. We want to congratulate Sadie and her family on her upcoming graduation and best wishes in her future endeavors.
Please tell us a little bit about your family.
A: “I am the youngest in my family, along with my twin, Erin. I have 5 siblings and live with my mom, Courtney, and step-dad Ron in Jefferson.”
Q: What are your plans after graduation?
A: “After graduation I will be attending the University of North Georgia and be working towards a bachelors degree in Business Management.”
Q: What are two of your favorite restaurants in our community?
A:” Some of my favorite restaurants in Jackson County include Gringo’s and Jefferson Pizza Kitchen.”
Q: How long have you lived in our community?
A: “I have lived in Jefferson/Jackson County for almost eight years.”
Q: Who is the most interesting person you’ve met here in our community?
A: “The most interesting person I have met in this community would be Mrs Christy Drew, a teacher at Jefferson High School. While I am very biased by that, because if her involvement with me throughout my high school and FBLA career. She is a loving and caring person and has always believed in me even when I haven’t believed in myself. She is spirited with the community, at her kids games/events, and loves to get to know her students.”
Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
A: “If I could travel anywhere in the world I would probably stay in the state of Georgia. With the current Covid-19 pandemic going on, all I want to do is see some of my favorite people again and they live in Georgia!”
Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
A: “My favorite movie is definitely ‘Dirty Dancing,’ ‘Nobody puts Baby in a corner!’ and my favorite show is ‘Grey’s Anatomy.'”
Q: What advice would you give to people?
A: “To live your life to the fullest and have a good time.”
Q: What is something on your bucket list?
A: “I hope to one day go sea kayaking in New Zealand.”
Q: What is your go to band / singer when you cant decide what to listen to?
A: “Lewis Capaldi or Post Malone.”
Q: What is something you will do as soon as this COVID 19 thing is over with?
A: “Go see my FBLA State Officer Team and Mrs. Drew!”
Q:If you could choose anyone that is alive today and not a relative; with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would y’all meet for this lunch?
A: “Mrs Christy Drew because even though we have spent hours of talking to each other we always have something to talk about and find a new craft to do. We would probably meet at Jefferson Pizza Kitchen or go to the closest Chick-fil-A.”
Q: What is your favorite thing about our community?
A: “Something unique about our community is that everyone is supportive of those around them. We all cheer on each other and love to uplift each other.”
Q: Where do you see yourself in five to 10 years?
A: “I will hopefully be graduated from college and will either be a public speaker or working towards owning my own Chick-fil-A.”
Q: (Even for friends or family), what is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?
A: “I love giving speeches, it may not seem like it because I am a very quiet and introverted person but its actually something I really love to do.”
Q: What is the most beautiful place you have ever been?
A: “I would say the most beautiful place I have been is Half Moon Cay in the Bahamas.”
Q: Favorite month? favorite holiday? and best single day on the calendar?
A: “My favorite month is September because of the weather, my favorite holiday is Christmas, and my favorite day on the calendar is my birthday- June 25th because I get to see my family and I may be sharing the day with not only my twin but possibly my nephew!”

A: “Mrs. Drew.”
Q: What is one or two of your favorite smells?
A: “I LOVE the smell of ice cream/waffle cones and bonfires.”
